I’m kinda of scared that I’m developing shin sprints. I swear my body isn’t built to be a marathoner. Between my bunions, high arches, weak ankles, bad knees and recurring shin splints…. sometimes I just have to wonder why I love running so much. Maybe it’s to prove the universe wrong.
Anyways, I’m trying really hard to make sure my shin splints don’t get any worse. I’m trying to build my milage slowly, and ice as much as I can.
I iced for an hour last night while watching The Biggest Loser:

I’m in this for the long-term. Shin splints won’t come between me and that Boston Finish Line!

i remember when i first started running i did all they said about taking care of myself, my legs in particular. But i noticed i don’t do as much anymore as i did at first… maybe we should try to remember all that again. 😉 Give that legs enough TLC! enough icing… enough rest in between run. Take care!
