Sometimes a little girl just needs some time to stop and smell the roses flowers.

Happy Valentine’s Day to my amazing husband. Thank you for loving me with a whole heart every day.
You’re going to be an amazing dad soon! I fall more and more in love with you as time goes on.
And thank you for the GORGEOUS roses you sent to my work yesterday. That was quite the surprise. Thanks for making me feel special. I love you!
We have a fabulous date night planned for this evening. Can’t wait!
Happy Valentine’s Day!!!
Remember when I planted an herb garden a few weeks ago? Well it’s only been about 10 days, and my little plants are already sprouting!
I got so excited, I went into work this week telling everyone that “my herbs are sprouting!” I’m sure no one cares, but this is exciting!
Right now, my Dill is out of control! It’s growing like a weed an herb!
But I left it outside today, and a few of them seem to have fallen over and died?! Are they supposed to fall over? Help! How do you get them to stand upright? Do they need more water?
The Basil is also coming up nice! It looks like little baby basils!
And the parsley has just popped up too. It’s so cute!
Keep crossing your fingers!!!!
For those of you who don’t live in Los Angeles, there’s a phenomenon that started a few years ago called ‘Food Trucks’. It’s a bunch of trucks who drive around and have awesome menus. They don’t have a solid location, so you have to check twitter to find out where they’ll be next. I’ve been DYING to try the ‘Grilled Cheese Truck’, but it always seems to evade me! (And the lines are usually really long!)
But yesterday, we were in the right place at the right time and we were right nearby where the truck was parked. The Mini Cooper dealership was having an event and the grilled cheese was FREE! (Are you kidding me? Free Grilled cheese?!)
While we waited in line, look who we spotted!
Yea Baby! Groooovy!
We were debating what to order… but it was an easy decision since they’re famous for their ‘Mac & Cheese Grilled Cheese’.
Think about that for a second… Mac & Cheese inside of a grilled cheese sandwich.
Sounds a little strange, but trust me on this one.
Irving got the same thing, but with the Rib Meat inside.
It also came with a cup of Tomato Soup (which was surprisingly awesome)!
Thank you Mini Dealer for the free, yummy lunch!!
When we got back home, we topped off lunch with some Sea Salt Caramels.
OH MY GOSH! They were AMAZING! Sweet and salty in the same bite. Delicious!
Grilled Cheese + Chocolate = HAPPY WEEKEND!
Living in LA means lots of fun opportunities. We are so lucky to be surrounded by so many exciting things. This year, we were fortunate to score a bunch of free tickets to the Rose Parade (with amazing seats!) We woke up at 4:15am, gathered our friends, and braved the 28* weather to the parade side lines in Pasadena!
We love taking the metro whenever we can (we’re probably some of the few residents who do!)
The sun was just starting to rise when we got off the train, and we followed the crowds down Colorado Blvd.
We were bundled up warm! You’d never know this was southern California!
Ashley, Hudson and her mom made it out too!! Hudson’s first parade!
Before we knew it, the parade was ready to start!
Check out this Stealth Fighter that flew overhead!
Right at the very beginning, we saw the Amazing Race winners!! I’m a huge fan!
They had to decorate part of float during the season finale this year!!!! So exciting! I almost didn’t recognize them, but I knew they looked familiar! Glad I snapped a picture!
The Grand Marshal this year was Paula Deen!
It’s amazing that all these floats are 100% decorated with flowers or living materials.
The bands were great, lots of fun music and dancing!
The Queen and Princesses of the Rose Court!
The two teams in the Rose Bowl football game this year were Wisconsin and Texas Christian. They each had a float and the fans went wild!
So many cool themes this year!
Hudson loved the parade!! He’s such a good boy!
LOOK!!! An Uno Float!! (You all know how much we love game night!)
At one point, I think one of the floats broke down! Good thing for AAA!
This was a band from New Hampshire! New England, represent!
Look who it is!
Pacman!
Some of the hosts from HGTV’s Dream Home show!
This float was for 9/11. The fire hydrant was from ground zero and was the only thing on any of the floats to not be made of flowers.

I have a feeling 2011 is going to be a great year!
