Just a few fun foodie things to share.
Up first: Butternut Squash Ravioli… topped with Canned Pumpkin Puree. It was like an autumn harvest in my mouth! Mmm. Gotta love those Gourds!
Also this weekend, I totally surprised myself and bought a stock of brussel sprouts! Can you believe that I’ve NEVER had brussel sprouts before? I didn’t know what I’d been missing! I was inspired by Kath’s blog last week, and when I saw the stalks in Trader Joes this week…I had to follow suit and give them a whirl.
First, I cut the little balls off the stalk and soaked them in water for 10 minutes. (They looked like little mini cabbages!)
Next, I chopped them in half and tossed them in a ziplock bag with a few tsp of Olive Oil, Salt and Pepper. Then baked them at 400* for 30 minutes.
They came out nice and golden brown. A little crispy too.
Served with a leftovers mish-mash of Rice and Tabouli. SO GOOD!

I love brussel sprouts and have never had them that way – was it a recipe? I made asparagus that way recently – I thought it was great – Jake thought it was undercooked!
hahah i know, Brussel Sprouts get a bad reputation. but they are Good!
I loove brussel sprouts! I have never roasted them though, I’ll have to try that! I’ve also never seen them with the stalks still on them!!
