So Irving and I have set forth a challenge for ourselves: Be asleep by 9:30p and up at 5:30a everyday for two weeks. I heard that it takes 2 weeks for a habit to form, and I’m really trying to be more productive in the early hours of the day. Our nights tend to get busy and I get scatterbrained and burnt out… and then nothing gets done.
Oh, and there’s one more rule: we must walk outside at least once during the day. Today is only day 3, and we’ve gone every morning between 6:30a and 7:30a.
I have to admit that I do feel a little sleepy (even though I’m still getting 8 hours of sleep a night), but I chalk that up to “shocking my body” and getting over a cold. I’m hoping it passes and I’ll start to enjoy this new schedule.
I’m supposed to be doing 20 miles tomorrow… my last long run for Boston! This is it! The one I’ve been dreading since last fall! My muscles feel ready to go, so I hope they don’t fail me now!
Oh, and a side note, how amazingly cute are these? They’re from www.liftyoursole.com :

I love this! I might have to get a few of these to round out my Nike Women’s Marathon Tiffany Charm collection I have going on:

Maybe I should start a bracelet!

Hahaha yea! it’ll probably take me that long to get used to it. haha
I totally give you guys a lot of credit for this. I’m going to start getting up earlier on weekends as well…I don’t think I can manage going to be by 9:30a every night…but I’m usually in bed by 10:30a so that’s good. I would love to get up at 5:30a everyday though and feel completely awake! I’m sure when the kids come we will have no choice!
