Tonight we headed over to the cute little area of Montrose for dinner.
We ended up at Three Drunken Goats, a cute little Spanish tapas bar.
We had a giftcard from restaurant.com and figured it was a great night to use it.
The menu was pretty good. A lot of it was in Spanish and we had to have our waiter translate. HAHA.
We ordered a bunch of things that sounded good, and it was really satisfying and different than anything I’ve ever eaten before.
Bacon Wrapped Dates with Chorizo
This was the highlight of the meal. It was sweet and chewy.
Artichoke and Goat Cheese Croquettes
Really good, I think deep fried. The cheese was great!
Pulled Pork and Piquillo with Toast
The toast was like garlic bread, so good! I had a bite of the pork and left the rest for Irving!
Patatas with Truffle Oil and Cabrales
This was good… but there was something about it that I didn’t like. There was a slight aftertaste to them.
I wasn’t sure if it was the oil the potatoes were tossed in… or the cheese or the truffle oil, but it didn’t do it for me.
Paella of Roasted Vegetables
I had my eye on this as soon as we sat down. The waiter told me it was kind of like saffron rice… SOLD!
When they first brought it to the table, it had clams and shrimp and fish in it. We quickly sent it back. HAHA Neither of us likes fish, eek!
I loved the rice. I am so glad I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. MMmmm!
It was nice company!

mmmm truffle oil!! 🙂
I’m confused as to why you needed the waiter to translate. Irving took 6 years of Spanish in middle and high school. I would have thought he would at least remember the words for foods!
do people look at you funny when you’re sitting at a nice place taking pictures of your food?! lol just wondering
haha…. not really. I think a lot of people do it now. haha
