One of the perks of living in LA is being so close to Universal Studios!! Ever since I moved out here, I get giddy at the thought of going. There are only a few rides, but the studio tour is so exciting. It makes me proud to work in this industry.
It was extra fun because we had fun friends to go with! We missed Ash and JR, but they had a 1 year anniversary to celebrate and another wedding to attend back east!
Here is Irving, Timmy, Erika, Michelle and I:
Our first stop was (of course) the Studio Tour!
Erika and Timmy went on it for the 2nd time that day!
I think Michelle really liked the tour too!
Oh yea, the Husband did too:
I love the sets on the backlot. These all look like real buildings, but they are all just facades for filming!
This one even looks like “Macys”!
Check out this old “Back to the Future” car they still have on the lot:
And then MY FAVORITE PART! Driving down ‘Wisteria Lane’!!!
Gaby’s House:
Lynette’s House:
Susan’s House:
And some others.
Mike’s Old House:
Then we passed Whoville (which has seen better days..it’s fading!):
And… OMG… The killer from Psycho!
War of the Worlds:
The real plane they “crashed”:
The lodge from “The Great Outdoors”:
YAY!
The boys:
Then we went on Jurassic Park!
Scary!
The world’s longest escalator (fact not confirmed).
And then we had a fun dinner at Granville in the Americana. It’s a great outdoor mall in Glendale.
The boys had matching shirts on. HAHA
I love that they have chandeliers OUTSIDE!
The awesome fountains that dance to the music:
What a great weekend!!
