Getting on my Nerves! December 17, 2010

Filed under: Uncategorized — Kelocity @ 4:12 pm

Has anyone else ever had Sciatica Pain? I’ve been dealing with this for months now, and I can’t figure out what it is, and more importantly, how to get rid of it! At first I thought I had a slipped disc or something in my spine. Then I thought it could be from running. But I’m pretty sure I have something pinching my sciatica nerve.

I can’t sit still because my whole leg is aching in pain. It’s really distracting me from whatever I’m doing. I lay in bed at night for hours because I just can’t make the pain go away. The only thing that helps is rolling around on a tennis ball on the bedroom floor for an hour.

Will this go away on it’s own? Help!!!

oh and it doesnt go away instantly, it takes a couple of days to get better, and then keep stretching everyday even if it doesnt hurt. I havent had to go to the chiropractor yet (i’m hoping the stretches work forever so i dont have to, i dont like doctors) :o)

Hi! You have to do looooooooottttsssss of stretches everyday. Lay on your back and pull your leg up over your head and hold it there for 10 seconds, switch legs. You can also pull one knee at a time to your chest and hold. (good for hammies too!). another one i like is lay on your back pull both knees toward your chest (curling up like a ball) then keeping your back planted on the ground, lower your knees to one side (kind of a twisting movement) and hold 10 seconds, slowly move to the other side and hold. I go back and forth 4-5 times. I’ve learned i have to do this at least everyother day, and twice a day when i have a flare up. Hope this helps!

I also had it bad while pregnant. I had to do physical therapy for it.

Awe thanks. I’m going to explore a few other options before I do that, but I might just have to do it anyways. Thanks! Hope you guys are doing great!

I had it bad while I was pregnant with Brooklyn. Chiropractor was the only thing that brought relief.
