Valentine’s Day Dinner and a Movie February 15, 2012

Irving and I had big plans to have dinner at the Olive Garden last night. I loooooooove the Olive Garden and have been begging for months to go there. (Soup, Salad and Breadsticks, whoop!) We tried to make reservations and call ahead, but the only way to get a table is to show up in person…. and when we got there, the wait was 3 HOURS! They even ran out of buzzers and you had to get BACK in line to pick up your buzzer. That’s crazy.

So we jumped back in the car and headed over to another place we’ve been meaning to try: The Federal. It was perfect! Wasn’t too crowded, the food was good and we weren’t rushed at all.

We had a few hours to kill before our movie, so we took our time and enjoyed the conversation. We started off with drinks. Irving had the Sea Dog Blueberry (I stole a small sip and it was amazing!) I had a Seltzer Cranberry, not as good as the beer, but still delicious.

We just chatted for almost two hours about everything and nothing, it was SO NICE! We kept saying how different life will be on Valentine’s Day next year! We’ll have to get a baby sitter to go out like this, just the two of us. But we’re ready for it. We’re looking forward to all the changes life will have in store for us.

Then we had a photoshoot on the sidewalk, obviously. I wore this dress during my Bacehelorette Party in 2009 and now it’s the perfect maternity dress too. Who knew!

Then it was MOVIE TIME!!!! A theater near the restaurant was showing ‘Romeo & Juliet’ on the big screen!!!!! I practically know that movie by heart (it’s my favorite!!) and I haven’t seen it in theaters since 1997!! Irving had never seen it, so I was SO excited to share it with him. He’s a big John Leguizamo and Baz Luhrnman fan, so I knew he’d like it. Amazingly we made it all the way though without falling asleep. (It started at 10pm!)

I love Olive Garden too. I haven’t been in years though. I miss it! It’s always so so busy. The Federal has the best french fries I’ve ever tasted.

Awwww…looks like a great night. Love the dress, you look good in red.
I love the Olive Garden too. I go for lunch sometimes for the Zuppa Toscana and then I eat way too many breadsticks.

You’re so cute! Sounds like a fun Valentine’s Day. Ours consisted of bottles galore, then Beckett screaming from 10pm until 3am. Woo hoo!! I was also surprised by how many of my non-maternity dresses I could still wear through the pregnancy.
