Feasting, Fun & Friends on the Fourth! July 8, 2010

  On the fourth of July, Erika and Timmy came over for a fun afternoon of games!

We started out with a game of “Wineopoly”. I think my sister gave us this a few years back. It was actually a really fun game!

It’s just like Monopoly, but with a twist.

Erika and I pretty much tied, and Timmy lost—big time. HAHA

After the game, we grilled up quite the feast!

We ate on my roof while waiting for the fireworks!

We were able to see fireworks displays in every direction we looked!

But the best fireworks were the ones the neighbors were shooting off right next door! They were so close and big!

But soon the police caught on and came by to arrest them… these blue and red lights are the police sirens. lol

A 4th of July 5K~ July 4, 2010

I finally found enough motivation to go for a run today! I did a slow 3.1 miles, but it was as gratifying mentally as it was physically.

I took a new route that went through two different parks. The change of scenery was nice.

Things I saw on my run:
-People setting up for cookouts today
-A father teaching his son how to ride a bike (so cute!)
-An elderly man throwing a tennis ball to a youthful puppy
-A toddler just learning how to walk (he was just kind of wobbling to stay up!!)

Red, White and Blue

Tonight was our first Hollywood Bowl night of the season!!! And we kicked it off with a bang!

Tonight I went with Erica, Erika and Timmy! (Irving couldn’t make it this time, but there will be more).

We did a potluck picnic before the show. It was so fun!

It was one year ago this weekend that we left LA for our wedding week in New England!

But not before the newlyweds Ashley and JR came over to bring us to the airport!
