I knew I had to go into work today but I also knew I really needed to workout, so I brilliantly thought… why not combine the two?
So I ran the 3.1 miles to work in 38 minutes… and on the way home, I ran it in 34 minutes! I was so excited about these stats. That means that on the way home, I chopped off more than 1 minute per mile! Sweet!
3.1 miles + 3.1 miles = 6.2 (A 10k!)
I ran 8:1 intervals the whole time (run 8 minutes, walk 1 minute).
I don’t have stats on the first 3 miles since my garmin didn’t catch the signal in time.
But on the way home here’s the stats:
Mile 1 -11:13 min/mile
Mile 2-10:56 min/mile
Mile 3-11:41 min/mile
(not bad considering the 1 minute walk breaks every mile). I’m trying to get a little faster during these shorter runs, but my shins were burning me today! I think I need to add weight lifting into my weekly routine.
Team Boston, here I come! You can support me here!
