Yesterday morning, Irving and I packed up the stroller and walked down to the park for a few hours. The weather was perfect… blue skies with a cool breeze. We left as soon as Adele finished eating so that she would nap as much as possible.
We laid out two blankets, stretched out, and enjoyed the time as a family of three. Adele loved hearing the older kids running around, seeing the squirrels jumping across the grass, and feeling the breeze on her face.
Stretch, Adele, stretch! She’s so cute, we can hardly believe she is ours!
I have dreamt about this day for a long time. The day where I could pack up my family and enjoy a lazy morning outside. I am so excited that it’s here. I love my little family so much. This is what it’s all about.
We brought a picnic lunch and read stories.
Irving read some magazines, and I wrote in my journal (I’ve been keeping a journal for Adele. Hopefully she’ll want to read it someday!).
There is nothing more magical than seeing a baby snoozin’ under the shade of a big tree. Perfection.
I can’t wait to do this again soon! Someday she’ll be able to run with the other kids…. slide down the slide, play in the sand, climb up the ladders… But for now, I’m enjoying her like this. There will be plenty of time for that later.
our little angel will absolutely LOVE reading the journal and look at pics, just as you did when you got older..what a great day for the family…enjoy every moment!
what is love? all of the above! Lucky Adele, lucky Mom and Dad! 🙂
I noticed how Irving has his hand while he’s reading – Jake does the exact same thing! Someone commented on Irving’s pic – ‘he must be related to Jake!’. Yeah.
i love her so muchhh!!!! give her lots of hugs and kisses from auntie!!! 🙂 xoxo
