Yesterday, I headed down to Ash and JR’s house to take some pictures of their baby bump! Here’s just a couple to entertain you with.
So cute! It’s definitely going to be a Cali baby!

What is it with men and babies that makes women go weak at the knees? Girls love when guys show a softer side and talk about tiny toes and cute little things.
Case in point… this is a conversation that I had with Irving this week after I sent him to Target to pick up wrapping paper for Ashley’s shower:
Irving: Just 2 rolls?
me: yep.maybe one baby roll and one roll that we can also use for birthdays in case i don’t use it all. does that make sense?
Irving: I found 2 cute ones.
me: ok cool
Irving: One is baby boy. The other is baby generic.
me: can we do one baby generic and one that could pass as baby and also adult birthday?
Irving: Just baby today. Sorry. Too cute.
me: hahahaha ok good to go then
Can’t argue with that, right? Awee!
PS… these were the two wrapping papers:

Ashley’s family lives back on the East Coast, and they wanted to be part of the Baby Shower action too! So her sister and mom organized a ‘Skype Shower’ where everyone could “see” Ashley open up all her gifts!!

It was SUCH a cute idea. All the gifts were shipped to my house so they would be a surprise! And they even sent us plates, napkins, balloons and favors that matched theirs!
The cookies I made last night!
Look at this tower of gifts!!!

Before the shower, Ashley came over early and made me homemade crepes! (Learning how to cook, remember?)
It was so easy!
The key is the nutella and the whipped cream (obviously!)
Heaven!
Oops…should have been on the Baby Shower plates!
The mom-to-be!

And then the skyping began!
We even got to “see” the cake!
And play all the games!
Sisters!
So many presents!
Lots of wrapping paper!
Group photo!
It was SO much fun to share this day with you, Ash! Can’t wait for the baby to get here!!
Since last week was our anniversary, we celebrated by going back to New England (where we got married) and doing a little roadtrip.
We flew on a redeye flight, and the sky was gorgeous as the sun was rising! Look at the moon!

We landed at 5am, so we took the T across the city to Harvard Square to get our rental car.
Early morning city:
Guess what we rented!!!
A Smart Car!
It was actually pretty roomy for all our luggage!
Our first stop (after grabbing some Dunkin Donuts Coffee) was to visit my lovely friend Shelby, who just had a baby, Harper, a couple of months ago!!
I miss my friend!
Harper was as adorable as I expected.
She melted my heart!
Look at these little baby laughs!
And the little baby toes that I want to eat!
Love!
Irving held her for a while and Harper actually fell asleep in his arms!
But she loves her Daddy!
Later we watched the World Cup Semi-Finals
Irving was so excited tired that he fell asleep on the couch!
Looks like everyone was a little sleepy!
So Shelby and I took full advantage of the quiet house and played a game of Blokus!
We had such a great time visiting with Shelby and her beautiful family!
Fun Fact: Tiffany Theissen just named her baby Harper too!!
