This morning, I got to sleep in, and I met up with the LA Racers at 8a at the LA Zoo for an easy 5 miles in Griffith Park. There was 8 of us running together this morning.

It turned out to be more of a workout than I thought because of all the road construction in the park. My flat course turned into a pretty steep hill climb. But we conquered the hills at a 10MPH pace (which is pretty impressive for me!) and we felt great at the end.
The 5.01 miles took 59 minutes with an average pace of 11:47.
Nike is one week away, and I’m stoked!
I love the tagline, it says: When you cross the finish line, it will change your life forever. It’s so true. I cry nearly every time I finish a long race. It’s just so emotional! It’s a combination of pride, pain and excitement. 🙂 That runner’s high is just so addicting.
