Relaxing Weekday Evenings January 27, 2011

My life just isn’t that exciting on weekdays. We’re pretty boring people during the week (and then get all crazy on the weekends I guess!)

We watched a lot of Jeopardy this week. HAHA It’s sort of become our nightly cooking routine.

One night, we cooked up one of our Dream Dinners. This one was a recipe created by Bon Greene, one of Oprah’s experts.

It was a healthy take on Sweet and Sour chicken.

The chicken was baked with oranges, pineapples, apricots, figs and oranges. It was deliciously sweet and we couldn’t believe there was no added sugar, it was all natural.

Paired with some orange slices on the side, it definitely hit the spot.

In other random news, I ate a Trader Joes burrito for lunch one day this week off of a Hanukah plate.
I thought this was HIL-ARIOUS. I was going to take a picture, but then the burrito kind of exploded in the microwave and ruined my plans.

Oh, and just for some added cuteness, I got to snuggle with the infamous Hudson this morning.
He was totally worth the Parking Ticket I got while hanging out at his place today. TOTALLY worth it.

I’m up at 6 for a run in the morning. And because I’m announcing it on the blog, I HAVE to actually do it.
I’m off to watch Teen Mom 2! Night!

US National Soccer Team vs. Chile January 23, 2011

Last night, Irving and I headed down to the Home Depot center for some soccer! It was the US National Team vs. Chile.

We had a great time at the game, it was packed!

I think the score ended up at 1-1 at the end.

Sadly, no Beckham to look at, but these guys were YOUNG! Irving said they were probably 16 years old, because they are training for the World Cup in 2014.

I have to admit, while the game was fun, I was totally distracted by this young man.

Ashley’s mom and Hudson joined us for the game as well! He and I coordinated our outfits.

Oh, I just love him.

After the game, we hung out for a little bit, and headed back home. By now it was 10pm and we hadn’t eaten dinner. We ran through our options of restaurants that would still be open, but then we realized if we went out, we wouldn’t get home til midnight!

So we ended up just making PB&J Sandwiches (with a side of pickles) and headed straight for bed.

I’m currently icing my muscles and then heading out on a 5 mile run! Happy Sunday!

Ladies and a Baby January 20, 2011

First of all, I can’t believe that I’m old enough to have so many friends with babies. I feel like I just graduated from high school! But I love my girls, and it is truly amazing to see them get pregnant and have babies! (Don’t worry, my time will come!)

We spent the night laughing, eating an awesome dinner (that included homemade cake!) and playing Clue!! I’ve known these girls since High School and I’m so glad we still get to hang out.

Game Night! Bezzerwizzer! December 31, 2010

Last night, our friends Ashley and JR had a bunch of friends over for a game night. They had an amazing spread of food (Red Velvet cupcakes, homemade rice krispies treats, carmel corn, veggies, nuts… and my favorite: chips and dip!! Mmmm!!!)

Little Hudson is getting so big. He’s just adorable!

He watched as we played an intense game of Bezzerwizzer. It’s a trivia strategy game that Erika and Timmy brought over.

We had an amazing night with our friends (new and old!)

A Holiday Recap–Christmas Eve

I know, I have been a negligent blogger as of late. I was also a pretty bad Christmas vacation photographer. But I have lots of memories and warm moments to share.

It all started way back last week. I had to pack up all my presents and fly them with me to Boston. It probably would have been easier to wrap them when I got there, but I’m a sucker for wrapping up surprises.
That gnome wrapping paper was from Ikea about four years ago. I FINALLY used it all up this year!

All packed up and ready to go! Thank goodness for Southwest’s free baggage allowance!

A few of my friends and I have a tradition of getting together for breakfast on Christmas Eve day. This year, we were also joined by the gorgeous baby Harper!

She’s at a fun smiley age now. I was in love.

I already miss all of them!

Then I spent the afternoon hanging out with my sisters, wrapping more presents and getting ready for Christmas Eve! My whole family and all the cousins head to my grandparents house. Now that everyone is getting older, it’s so much fun.
