Christmas On Our Turf January 23, 2014

Filed under: Christmas — Kelocity @ 10:01 pm

We had a wonderful Christmas on the East Coast, but we were also excited for Santa to visit our California home a couple of weeks later as well! We had a great ‘Christmas’ morning, complete with coffee in hand, pajamas and presents!

Adele’s stocking had bracelets, play dough, a crazy straw, and a princess cell phone and keychain. She loved it!

We had fun taking turns opening presents and enjoying each other’s company. I didn’t care if it took us all day to open those presents, we had so much fun!

Adele even got an “Elf on the Shelf” for next year! So excited to play that game next year!

Our beautiful Christmas Morning mess!

So what did Adele find under the tree this year?
Here’s a summary!
XmasGifts1.) VTech Flashlight
2.) Ikea Trainset
3.) Elf on a Shelf
4.) Mrs. Potatohead
5.) Vinci Tablet
6.) Legos
7.) Baby Bjorn Toilet Trainer (!!)
8.) Books
9.) The World Cup soccer ball
10.) Foam Bath Letters – Not Pictured

What a fun day!

Christmas Day! January 5, 2014

I just can’t believe this is Adele’s 2nd Christmas already! I’ll save you the comparison photos, but here’s a look back at last year! She was so little!! This year, she was walking, talking and ripping wrapping paper like a champ!

She even had her own little Christmas tree! Grammie set aside some ‘toddler-friendly’ ornaments that she got to put on herself!

Christmas breakfast was made with love by little Adele. Monkey Bread for the win!

Paired with some ‘adult-friendly’ beverages to go with it! Cheers!

Who’s excited for presentssssss?

Whoo hoo! Santa Came!

Awe, her first Cabbage Patch Doll! Welcome to the family, Madison Blaire! <—her real name!
Books. Always books.

Oh my gosh, stop it! How cute is this! (She got a medical kit from Aunty Nurse Laurie. But really she’s all excited about her dog purse and baby iPhone. Kids these days!
Now to pack all these fun toys up to come back to LA!

Christmas is a two-day event in my family. Christmas Eve is the big extended family celebration with a Photobooth, Lebanese Food, Christmas Carols, Mike’s Pastry and presents. It’s fun to have a new generation experience it all as well! She was pretty spoiled this year!
Much to my dad’s excitement, Adele is obsessed with trains now! She calls them “Choo Choo’s”.

The girls singing loud and proud. Now that I think about it, I think the guys got away without singing a song this year!

Poor dad… he had three girls and now a grand-daughter. He’s a pro at the Tea Party concept now.

Boston Strong!

Oh, haha, apparently Papa is pretty good at Tea Parties too!

Grammie has a secret! Those girls love to giggle together!

Haha, my mom and I had matching Loft skirts in different patterns. Total coincidence!

Matchy, matchy Christmas shoes! IMG_3274

I love everything about Christmas, but mostly the time with family. =)

The Christmas Photobooth January 3, 2014

I went to a Christmas party this year that had a cool Photobooth set up in the corner. It was the hit of the party.

So at our big family Christmas Eve get-together, we decided to recreate our own version of a Photobooth! It was a hit! Here’s a few of the photos we got!

We had a little too much fun with props!

I’m a big fan of the Photobooth! We even had one at our wedding!

Psst! I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m terrified to be entering the Toddler-Era now! I am feeling a little lost and a lot afraid. Read more about my thoughts over at What to Expect today! And send me ‘good luck’ vibes and words of advice in the comments below!

We’re having a blast relaxing at Grammie and Grandpa’s house this week. Adele is enjoying all of the attention from everyone, and I’m relishing the fact that I haven’t had to change a diaper or wash a sippy cup since I’ve been here! Score! I’ve been going to bed early, reading magazines, watching movies and seeing friends. The perfect Christmas vacation indeed.

Adele’s been busy playing Play-Dough, creating MarbleWorks masterpieces and reading lots and lots of books. She’s in heaven.

I’m so glad both Irving’s mom and my mom saved some of the toys we played with when we were little. I have a post coming about that soon. But Adele is having so much fun playing with primary colored, non-musical toys. (With a little Cabbage Patch doll and Matchbox car action mixed in there as well for good measure!)
