Irving and I got up at 5:30a this morning to go for an early morning run. It was so nice to get the blood pumping as the sun was just starting to rise.
Then we got home, I showered…. and went back to bed for an hour and a half. Oh well. Sometimes the promise of a nap is the only thing that can get me out of bed in the morning.

Last night was the taping of ‘CNN Heroes’. It’s a show about real life heroes that will air on Thanksgiving on CNN.
We got tickets to the event, and it was a great excuse to get dressed up for a night on the town!
It was a true Hollywood event, with a red carpet and a photo wall! 
We were SO excited that Erika and Timmy came with us too! 
It was hosted by Anderson Cooper! 
Right at the beginning of the show, all 33 Chilean Miners and their 5 rescuers came out on stage! 
Jon Bon Jovi played a song in the show too! (So did Sugarland and John Legend) 
All of the nominees for CNN’s Hero of the Year are so deserving and amazing. 
After the show, we got to go the After Party. They had amazing food and an open bar.
But the highlight… Meeting the Chilean Miners!
This guy was so excited to be in Los Angeles. He was impressed by how long the roads are here. ha! 
What an amazing night of inspiring people.

The next half marathon will be: 
I’ll be running my first Rock N’ Roll race on January 16th in Phoenix! I’m so excited.
Guess I better start running, huh?
This will be my 12th distance race in my quest to run 20 Races before I’m 30. The 20 Before 30!
The past couple of nights have been filled with friends and laughter. I’m so thankful I have such great friends so close by.
Thursday night, Erika came over and we played a game of Life! 
Erika did a fabulous job of playing ‘banker’. haha
Ultimately, I won, but she did end up with a sweet tree house at the end. (Have you played this new ‘Extreme Life’? It’s pretty funny).

HOUSE PARTY
Last night, I hosted my second ‘House Party’ event. The first one was for Febreze back in the summer.
This time, the party was provided by Jolee Jewelry! 
They sent me a bunch of gift bags to giveaway to friends! 
They even sent me all the tools we needed to put everything together! 
I turned the event into a dinner party for the girls. 
And then the jewelry making began! 
Each person got to make a beaded bracelet. 
It was supposed to be a girls only event, but we did have one party crasher! 
Hudson agreed that the bracelets were beautiful! 
What a fun night, thanks for coming over, girls!!
PS.. Don’t forget to enter the contest!!! We’ll pick a random winner and will be sending them a prize!
It sounded like everyone loved the Arabic Signs game, we got a lot of great responses!!!
