Here’s a quick 1 minute video of three of Green Day’s songs from last night!

Last night, Irving and I went to see Green Day at the Irvine Amphitheater. It took us forever to get there… almost two hours. We couldn’t figure out why they’d want to play there and not somewhere closer to LA. But believe me, it was definitely worth the drive.

AFI opened for them, but by the time we got there, we were starving, so we skipped them and had dinner instead. 🙂

I snuck in my awesome lollipop for dessert. HAHA

First of all, the set was AMAZING. Definitely one of the best music sets we’ve EVER seen at a concert. It was beautiful and entertaining. And the choreography of the lights was amazing too.

See that city landscape? That was all a video screen! So cool!

They played sooo many songs. About 38 in total! They seriously played for THREE hours straight!!!! [here’s the set list]

I LOVED that they played almost every song from the Dookie album! It was amazing to hear all those songs live. I used to listen to that album (ahem… on cassette tape) over and over!

I have a great video of them doing this song that I’ll post later… but that fire was all fake, but it looked so real!

They are just amazing. They had so much energy and went from old stuff to new stuff just like that.

I thought the band was just the three of them: Billi Joe, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt…. so who was this random guy rocking out in the back? lol

It’s amazing that Green Day has been together since 1993? They sill rule rock and roll like no one else can. The show was SO impressive.

Three hours later, we walked away feeling like kids again. It’s shows like this that make the ticket prices and Itunes downloads seem worth the money. What a fun night!

I’m always excited to find new running routes (I mean, there’s only so many times you can run around Balboa Lake!)

This morning was my first time at Hansen Dam, and I was quite impressed. It was beautiful, flat and gorgeous.

The golf course looked really nice!

The run/bike path was paved, but off to the side, it looked like the desert!

The Racers!

PS, check out the sun trying to peek through the clouds!

It was a really nice run. I walked a chunk of it, but it was still a great 400-calorie burn workout!

I then came home and enjoyed a 2 hour nap.

That should be my motto: Will Run for Nap!
