Today was the big day for the baby shower. I ran all over town yesterday getting all the ingredients of the perfect shower. 🙂
I was a little stressed out, but good thing I have great friends to bring me candy corn to keep me going. 😉
We put together our favor bags (which consisted of bags of cookies, bags of chocolate pretzels!
Your hosts for the afternoon:
Some Party Details:
The Bear!
Ashley calls the baby: Spud. So we decided to make the shower a potato theme!
Even Mr. Potato Head himself was there!
And for lunch, we served a baked potato bar!
Complete with all the toppings!
I think Ashley (And Spud) really liked it!
We invited all the guests to make a scrapbook page for a baby book. That way, after the baby comes, she has a custom album to put all the pictures in that was made by all her friends!
The Creation Station!
Then it was time to cut Mr. Bear. (this was so so so sad!)
I almost couldn’t watch… RIP bear. You sure were tasty!
Presents!!!!
Irving bought this Galaxy Onsie!! (After all, he is soccer’s biggest fan!)
JR came to open a few gifts too!
Her mom made this! Soooo cute!
Thank you SO much to everyone who came out to celebrate with Ash and JR!
Steph and Ashley!
She got so many nice things. So lucky to have so many great friends!
I think she liked the favors too!
Congrats guys!
xoxo
A couple of my friends started a monthly ‘craft night’. It’s a fun excuse to get together regularly and learn how to make something cute!

This week’s theme was hand stitching with felt. We were all inspired by this Mini Cooper that Jenn made completely freehand! Isn’t this amazing?!
I’m not quite that talented, so I used a pattern to make a bird!
Not bad for a first attempt, right?
Caitlin’s was a little more daintier. So cute!
And Jenn made this awesome Iphone case!!! She should sell those!
I’m already looking forward to the next night. So much fun!
First thing’s first when in Vegas:
How is there a Dunkins in Vegas and not in LA??
Erika, Timmy and I went straight for the coffee and bagels/donuts. And my husband went to the Mexican Market and came back with Churros and a Tecate Beer. lol
oh man.
Timmy hadn’t been to Vegas before, so we had to do the grand touristy tour of all the big hotels. It was so fun because I hadn’t been in some of them in years!
New York, New York!
Luxor
I don’t even have to go all the way to Cairo to see hieroglyphics. haha
Bellagio!
It’s exhausting going around the world in one day. 🙂 It was so much fun.
For dinner, we all met up at the Rain Forest Cafe.
The highlight of the dinner was, of course, the dessert.
It was a crepe with bananas, ice cream, whipped cream, caramel and chocolate sauce. Mmmm!
The highlight of the evening was:
We were SOOO excited for this. Cirque shows in Vegas is just something you have to do. I was looking forward to this for so long.
The show was incredible. We absolutely LOVED it. Everything was impressive…from the stage to the music to the performers. We had great seats and soaked in every awe struck moment of the show.
In other news… I broke a nail after the show. It was SOOO sad!! ![]()
Irving doesn’t think a broken nail is blog worthy, but I disagree. This is my first broken nail ever!! (I’ve been growing them out since April). I was devastated.
le sigh.
Night Vegas!
On Monday, Erika found out that she scored an amazing new job! We were SO excited to celebrate with E+T that night! We headed up to Universal Citywalk to have dinner at Saddle Ranch.

The service was slow, but we started off with a ginormous plate of Nachos!
It was as good as it looks, I assure you.
I had no idea what I wanted, so Timmy and I did halfsies and split the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and the BLT.
It was perfect. I could only eat the wrap and took the BLT home, but it was perfect. 🙂
Congrats, Erika!!!
