We spent Saturday morning hanging out in the park with our awesome friend, Erica. Adele slept almost the whole time, but woke up in time to snap a few family pictures.

Last week, we enjoyed another beautiful day in the park with some of our new mama friends and their kids. Seven babies in all! It’s been so much fun meeting other new moms and introducing Adele to some new friends. It’s always a good time with lots of advice and stories swapping around.
Look at all the calm babies just quietly enjoying the nice summer breeze… oh wait…

One of my favorite parts of being a mom is having so many great friends who also have kids! I hope they all grow up together and become friends like us someday!
My friend Shelby has been such an amazing source of advice, encouragement and humor. She has two adorable kids of her own and I’m so thankful to rely on her experience to help me out! Her son, Sullivan, is only three months older than Adele. So cute! 
These two are going to be fun together as they grow. I love it!
I love getting ‘a preview’ of what Adele will be like in three more months. It’s going to get fun!

One day, we organized a giant get-together in the park with all the kids. Best Idea Ever! 
Lots of swings and slides for the older kids and plenty of shade for the little ones. 
Among all my friends, we had TWELVE kids in the park! So much fun to chat, compare notes and watch them all play together.

I was so tied up in all the cuteness all around that I didn’t realize Irving took Adele on her first tire swing ride!!! She loved it! 
With twelve active kids running around, it was impossible to get everyone into a big group photo, but here’s most of us! 
I am SO LUCKY to have such a great group of girls in my life. Makes me seriously miss the east coast.

When I moved to LA eight years ago, it was so hard to make new friends. I found many great friendships through running, but everyone told me that once I had kids it would be easier to connect with more people. They were SO right! Through my baby classes, weekly yoga and mommy & me classes, I’ve met some amazing women. And Adele is making friends as well! 
On Wednesday, we met up with four other mamas and babies in the park! It was so fun to get some fresh air and hold and feed our babies outside. We had fun chatting and watching each other’s babies smile, coo and look around. 
I hope that all these little ladies stay friends as they grow up!
Hope to do it again soon!
We had so much fun in the park last week that we decided to do it again when my parents were here! I think this is going to become a weekly tradition. Adele was much more awake this time. The fresh air under a shady tree is always welcome in my book. 
We let her nap outside for a while while we did some people watching and food-truck consuming.
