A runner with an appetite for adventure!

I spy with my little eye… April 28, 2010

My husband isn’t here right now to defend himself, but I just can’t stop laughing.

I came home from work and noticed that he had gone grocery shopping. He’s a pretty good shopper. A quick peek into the fridge and I noticed he bought some salads, bread, milk, etc.

Then I noticed this:

I thought it was really cute that he bought some healthy snacks for us. Some individual peanut butter with celery sticks.

I snapped that picture because I was going to write this post about how cute it was that he was thinking about healthy things, blah, blah, blah.

Until I opened up my pantry and saw this!

I spy, with my little eye:

Yes. My husband bought celery sticks, milk and salad… and a giant jar of Nutella. HAHAHA

PS. He bought bananas too, so it looks like I’m having a banana with nutella for breakfast tomorrow. MMmm.

P.P.S: Irving, if you’re reading this, you better not eat the whole jar in one sitting like you did when I bought some for my Italian class presentation last year.

I’m still laughing!

Every year, one of the schools in my area has a big carnival. Irving and I went over there this weekend to play around with our cameras. Here are a few pictures…

Not bad for a point and shoot camera, eh?
I’m really looking forward to learning more about cameras this year.

PS… I lost a toenail. It got pretty beat up in the marathon last week… and today, it just popped off. It was both intriguing and horrifying at the same time. I’ll spare you the pictures. 😦 Will it grow back? Does anyone know?

Funny things this week…

On Saturday, I went to a “Team in Training” practice to help out with the team. Of course I wore my new Boston Marathon Jacket! I also wore my medal to show my friends….well after practice, I was in line to get gas at Costco and I looked over, and the girl in the car next to me also  had her Boston Marathon coat on! I yelled “hey nice jacket!” she said “you too!” Then I pulled out the medal (which I was still wearing) and said, “Do you have your medal on too?” She looked confused and said, “uh, no?!”. haha She must have thought I was crazy.

I mean come on, doesn’t everyone wear their medals out while doing their errands?

=======

In my car, I had a whole bunch of cupcakes I baked for the team. I was at a stop light and I noticed a homeless man begging for money on the corner. I rolled my window down and gave him a cupcake. He was so excited about it! It felt really nice to do something good for someone else. Cupcakes make EVERYTHING better. Even if just for a few minutes.

((I loved my wedding cupcakes!!))

Here are some of my official photos from the race:

***Edited to add that I only picked this song because it was called “Miles to go”… sorry it’s not exactly “clean”… whoops!***

My sister took this video of me running to the finish line. This was the last .2 of the race!
