Heads up! Skinny Runner is giving away GU!
Head over to Skinny Runner for the details!
I got an exciting postcard in the mail today:
It had each of my 5K splits:
And some other depressing stats that I’m choosing to ignore:
Really? There were only 125 people behind me out of the entire field of 22,645? Oh well. Who cares.
I ran the BOSTON MARATHON!
YAYYYYY!!!! My new computer is done!!! Irving and I started building my new computer piece by piece last year, and it’s finally done! And it’s pretty sweet.
This week we installed the final touches:
And Irving set it all up!
I can’t believe that when I hit the “power” button, the thing actually turned on!
It’s amazing how a hunk of metal actually does what you want it to. All those wires and plugs actually worked! I couldn’t believe it.
The only dud out of everything was my Rosewill all-in-one card reader. I don’t recommend it. It didn’t work at all. Boo. But everything else is working great!
And now I’m getting to know my new best friend: Windows Live Writer! Don’t you love my new “rounded photos”? It makes blogging SO much easier!
Woo hoo!
This morning, I volunteered to help out my friends with “Team in Training” this morning. They had a lot of people doing 18 miles today, in preparation of the San Diego Marathon.
I helped set up and run the team’s water stop.
It was pretty hot for them today, but there was plenty of Gatorade to around!
While we were out there, we spotted this guy out on the golf course!
Ahhh! I’m a little scared of Coyotes!
Funny story… last year, I was running in this park, and I thought I saw a coyote and I started screaming “Coyote! Coyote! ahhh!!” Then I heard some guy go “Come here, boy!” Yup. It was someone’s golden retriever! HAHAHA But today, that was the real deal!

After everyone was done running, we had a little fun with a Hula Hoop!
So much fun! We were out in the park for about 6 hours today! I definitely got my vitamin D today.
Last night, at 10pm, we decided to go out with our friends Ashley and JR. We wanted Ice Cream, but something a little different. We headed over to “House of Pies” in Hollywood. It was fun to get our of neighborhood a little bit and have some good food and company.
Irving and I:
Ashley and JR:
It is called the house of pies, but I opted for a brownie sundae. It was probably the best brownie sundae I’ve ever had. The brownie was warm, and the hot fudge was so HOT that it melted the ice cream. Amazing.
Can you SEE the fudginess??
Irving got a Bavarian Chocolate Banana Cream Pie…. it was so cool! It had layers of actual banana in it!
It was a fun night!
