How is there a Dunkins in Vegas and not in LA??

Erika, Timmy and I went straight for the coffee and bagels/donuts. And my husband went to the Mexican Market and came back with Churros and a Tecate Beer. lol
IMG_5696

oh man.

Timmy hadn’t been to Vegas before, so we had to do the grand touristy tour of all the big hotels. It was so fun because I hadn’t been in some of them in years!

It’s exhausting going around the world in one day. 🙂 It was so much fun.

For dinner, we all met up at the Rain Forest Cafe. IMG_5723
IMG_5725

The highlight of the dinner was, of course, the dessert.

IMG_5727

It was a crepe with bananas, ice cream, whipped cream, caramel and chocolate sauce. Mmmm!
IMG_5728

The highlight of the evening was:
IMG_5730

We were SOOO excited for this. Cirque shows in Vegas is just something you have to do. I was looking forward to this for so long.
IMG_5732

The show was incredible. We absolutely LOVED it. Everything was impressive…from the stage to the music to the performers. We had great seats and soaked in every awe struck moment of the show.

In other news… I broke a nail after the show. It was SOOO sad!!
IMG_5735

Irving doesn’t think a broken nail is blog worthy, but I disagree. This is my first broken nail ever!! (I’ve been growing them out since April). I was devastated.

le sigh.

Last night, Erika and Timmy, Erika’s Mom, Irving and I headed to the H-Bowl for one last show of the summer. It was ‘John Williams and the Music of the Movies’!
IMG_5569

John Williams is a legend in Hollywood. He conducted the music in SO many of the world’s greatest movies!
-Indiana Jones
-ET
-Jurassic Park
-Star Wars
-Catch Me if you Can
-Harry Potter
-Jaws

-And SO much more!

But before the show, we had dinner ––picnic style (per usual!)
IMG_5556

Summer Must be coming to an end because it was SO dark out!

On the menu was:
-Eggplant+Tomato Salad
-Bruschetta
-Fried Chicken
-Cole Slaw
-Cheese + Crackers
-Sweet Hawaiian Rolls w/ Honey
-And… Wine!!

IMG_5558

They allow you to bring in whatever you want, but they still check bags at the gate when you walk in. We were joking that they are probably checking to make sure you BROUGHT your wine… maybe you wouldn’t be allowed in without it. LOL

Anne, Erika, Timmy!

Me and Irving!

For Dessert, Irving’s Favorite!
IMG_5559
I mean… his ULTIMATE favorite! This man can easily eat a whole box of these babies. 🙂 But he shared.
IMG_5575

The show was great!
IMG_5567
I love how they light up the bowl.
IMG_5578

Of course, the highlight of the evening was when he played the Star Wars theme!

Out of NOWHERE, all these Light Sabers came to life in the audience!!
IMG_5579

Look at them all!!!!

IMG_5580

We were laughing so hard. Light Sabers are officially on my Christmas List for this year. (I never thought I’d say that!)

It was a great show to end the season on!

On Monday, Erika found out that she scored an amazing new job! We were SO excited to celebrate with E+T that night! We headed up to Universal Citywalk to have dinner at Saddle Ranch.

IMG_5532

The service was slow, but we started off with a ginormous plate of Nachos!
IMG_5536
It was as good as it looks, I assure you.

IMG_5533

I had no idea what I wanted, so Timmy and I did halfsies and split the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and the BLT.
IMG_5540

It was perfect. I could only eat the wrap and took the BLT home, but it was perfect. 🙂
IMG_5535

Congrats, Erika!!!

Trader Joes just started bringing Tater Tots into the store, so naturally we bought a bag. We weren’t quite sure what we were going to use them for… until Irving brought home a bag of Harris Ranch Burgers!

Beef!
IMG_5521

We got some Cabot Cheese (our new love since we went to the factory!)
And cut up some Tomatoes…
IMG_5523

Enter…the Burger Buffet!
IMG_5524

IMG_5525

But the star of the show was the tater tots (seasoned with some cajun spice!!)

Love!

Hubby Brought me Presents!

Irving was out of town last week and at first, I was happy to have the house to myself (I only made the bed twice all week, shhh!) But by Friday, I couldn’t wait to see his smilin’ face. I mean come on, who wouldn’t miss this guy:
Engagement_2008 157

When I came home from work yesterday, he had just walked through the door. We immediately went out and ordered a pizza to take back. I think we were both too hungry for our own good and we ate the WHOLE pizza minus ONE slice. I think we both decided not to eat the last slice just to say we didn’t really eat a whole Xtra Large Pizza in one swoop. HAHA

But regardless, I’m happy to have him home. He even came armed with PRESENTS from Harris Ranch! Aside from the amazing burgers he brought home for dinner tonight, he brought me my FAVORITE parfait cup!
IMG_5510

Chocolate Cake, Vanilla Pudding, Strawberries, Chocolate Sauce, Whipped Cream and Walnuts. Mmmm!
IMG_5513

He even tied a bow around it so it looked even prettier (as if you need do anything to make chocolate and whipped cream look prettier, right?)

IMG_5514

But that’s not ALL…check this out!

IMG_5520

It’s a Candy Corn flavored Lolli-pop!!!! I LOVE CANDY CORN!!!! What a guy.

Missed you babe, welcome back!!!

In other news, I wanted to share the amazing birthday card that my sister Laurie sent me this week!

But first the back story… when we were little, every winter, my family would have a “Beach Party” in the living room. When it was super cold outside, we’d crank up the heat, get into our bathing suits, lay on our beach towels and eat a picnic on the floor with paper plates. It was pretty epic.

Exhibit B:

Inner tubes and flip flops required.

So fast forward to this week, I almost died when I saw this card in the mail from my sister:

BAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Thanks Laurie, that was pretty hilarious!
