Irving and I got married almost two years ago. And we still had a few things lingering on our registry that will complete our ‘fine china’ set. We figured it’s probably about time we buy them in case the line gets discontinued at some point.
We used up some gift cards and bought the remaining items. Now there is just ONE thing left on the registry:
Anyone know what that is?!
I might have to go buy those JUST so I can say the entire registry is complete.
First of all, I just can’t wait for the premiere of this season’s Secret Life of the American Teenager. Someone asked me what my favorite Guilty Pleasure tv show was recently… and I have to admit, this one is probably it. I don’t know, I really feel like Amy belongs with Ben… but Ricky is starting to grow on me. I can’t wait!
And how amazing is this poster? I LOVE it! The hair, the flowers, the dress! 
But anyways, this post isn’t about teen pregnancy… it’s about the Secret Life of my bathroom drawers. Now, I consider myself a pretty organized person. Sometimes it gets out of hand, but all in all, I hate clutter. 
Out of the blue, I decided to organize my drawers in the bathroom. It’s been on my to-do list for a while, so why not. Oh. My Gosh. 
You guys! I’m a beauty product hoarder! I had no idea. Seriously. Where did all this come from?!?! 
It was time to get with the program and clean this up! I am pretty sure some of these products made the cross country drive with me when I moved to Los Angeles in 2004. Yikes! Do I really need all of these itty bitty samples? (The Blue Lagoon ones, Yes. The rest? No!) 
I think most of these came in race packet goodie bags. 
Silver Glitter? I don’t even know where this came from! 
I threw out a whole trash can of junk. Much better! 
No more secrets here! 
That feels so much better. Tomorrow, I shall tackle my sock drawer. I think it’s spring cleaning time!
It occurred to me this weekend that since Ragnar is coming up in about a month, even though I’m already running, maybe I should look at the training schedule they recommend. Well I was surprised (I’m not sure why) that I’m supposed to be doing multiple runs per day to condition for the different legs during the event. Oops! So I printed it out and made a few changes to make it fit my schedule.
Today, I was supposed to do a 25 minute run and then later in the day, another 25 minute run…. But my team was running at the Hansen Dam, so I went ahead and ran 5 miles this morning, and I’ll do another 2 miles tonight. It was a GREAT run this morning. I was chatting with some friends and I forgot I was even running. It was awesome. The sun was hot, but it didn’t matter, it was so nice.
I feel so good right now. It’s all about making choices in your life that make you feel good and live healthy.
I think I’m ready for spring. YAY!
Last night, we went over to Erika and Timmy’s house for a Mexican Fiesta. They had quite the spread… I totally didn’t take any pictures, but you name it, they had. It was DELICIOUS. We were in charge of Guacamole and dessert. We figured, might as well go authentic, and headed to a Mexican Supermarket to get some fresh guacamole while we were out. We walked all around the store before asking an employee where it was. They looked at us and said “Uh, Guacamole? Like the dip?” we were like “um, Yes!?” And they didn’t have any!! Maybe they just make it fresh from home and no one actually buys it in the stores? So strange!
Anyways, for dessert, I went traditional (basically as American as you can get). 
Since they just moved into a new apartment, I made half the batch of cookies as little houses! 
And the second half, I dyed red and made little hearts (to celebrate baby Sophie!) 
The hearts were looking a little plain, so I dressed them up with some sprinkles! 
There may or may not have been a slight sprinkle disaster, but don’t worry, Irving. The roomba will eat them on Monday. 
They came out so cute!
The house cookies did too. Can you tell it’s a house? 
I’m a pretty clean baker. I pretty much clean up as I go to avoid a huge mess at the end. But these sure made for a lot of dirty dishes! 
Irving admitted he didn’t love these cookies. And I admit, they definitely weren’t the most creative option, but once in a while, you just need an old fashioned sugar cookie.
Today was a GORGEOUS day in LA… I mean, we don’t get very many of those, right? But seriously, today was perfect! 75, blue skies and breezy. We just HAD to get out of the house.
It wasn’t hard to convince Erika and Timmy to come to the driving range with us to hit some balls.
I have a girly set of clubs, but I actually did hit a few nice shots!
Uh… except for a few of these, when I totally whiffed the ball!
This doesn’t look like very good form….
The pink glove helps with hitting the ball really far. lol
It was so fun catching up with Erika!
It’s been almost a month since I’ve seen her, and her baby belly is growing! So cute!
What a fun morning!
Later in the day, we wanted to get out again, and headed out on a 3 mile walk around the neighborhood. We love to find houses for sale and dream about what our lives would be like in them. Such a fun day.
