So glad I was able to see ALL of my cousins during my trip home! Aunty Chrissy, Uncle Kevin, Ryan and Juliana!

Aunty Laurie could only stay for a few days, but I know she had fun meeting her niece.

On August 30th, Grammie, Irving, Adele and I went into Boston to meet up with Baby Gaga.
We walked all over Cambridge and along the Charles River. I forgot how beautiful the city is in the Summer. 
We ended up exploring the MIT campus for a while. All those years I lived in the city and I had never been there! 
Adele was soaking in all the academic vibes humming around MIT. I love when all the college kids bring the city to life every August. We hung out on the steps and enjoyed it. 
Baby Gaga and Irving did a fair amount of playing too! Adele will be able to keep up with them soon! 
Guess what I did when we were there? Breastfed for the first time without a nursing pillow!!! HOORAY!! 
I was so proud! Thanks for the moral support, Sarah! 
Wish we could have spent longer in the city, it was so much fun!
It was so fun that Katie and I were pregnant at the same time this year! It was fun to compare bumps back in January! 
And now, the babies are here! Meet Hadley!! 
Hadley is just 6 weeks older than Adele! It’s fun to get a preview of what’s coming up for me! She is so sweet. It was fun to meet her! 
Courtney came over too to see the big baby introduction!
When we sat Adele and Hadley down together, all of us just burst out laughing. Those girls were HILARIOUS together! I can tell they will be friends forever. They were just having too much fun. 
Adele, darling, I know she looks delicious, but please don’t eat your friend. 
Hadley decided to try to eat Adele too. Serves her right. 
I can not even handle this cuteness. It will be so fun to see them grow over the years. =)
When I moved to LA eight years ago, it was so hard to make new friends. I found many great friendships through running, but everyone told me that once I had kids it would be easier to connect with more people. They were SO right! Through my baby classes, weekly yoga and mommy & me classes, I’ve met some amazing women. And Adele is making friends as well! 
On Wednesday, we met up with four other mamas and babies in the park! It was so fun to get some fresh air and hold and feed our babies outside. We had fun chatting and watching each other’s babies smile, coo and look around. 
I hope that all these little ladies stay friends as they grow up!
Hope to do it again soon!
This past weekend, my mom flew in on Saturday night. We had a great time catching up, showing her the baby’s room and feeling for baby kicks. Sunday, we didn’t really have plans so we went for a 4 mile walk with my awesome running group. I think my mom was inspired because she ran a little bit too! I ran for about 5 minutes and then was too out of breath to go any further (ha!) Then we sipped tea on our rooftop patio and chatted about babies, parenting and all that comes with it. When lunch time rolled around, Irving suggested we go out. I was unsure of our destination, but we ended up at my friend Janet’s house.
When I was walking up, I knew something was going on, but I was not prepared to see so many of my friends and family waiting to surprise me.
I had to take a minute to take it all in, it was a little emotional seeing everyone! Especially when I realized Irving’s mom had flown down to attend. And his Sister and wife (who I thought had already flown back to Indianapolis!) were there too!!
Everything, everything, everything was amazing. The theme was ‘Tiny Traveler’ and all of the details were just SO adorable! The invitations were tiny suitcases!
How perfect is this!
The cake was a replica of the invitation. A suitcase! (and it tasted heavenly!)
I LOVED the travel theme!!! How perfect!!! I hope to frame those posters because they were just so cool! (All places we’ve been, too!)
Even the table cloth was travel themed!!!
It was so great that both my mom and Irving’s mom could be there. A very special treat indeed.

We played a couple of fun games (including one that involved an embarrassing baby bottle contest) and enjoyed the gorgeous day.
And then came inside for cake and presents. I didn’t want to cut the cake because it was so cute!
(But I got over that real quick when I realized I could eat it after it was cut. Mmmm!)
And then it was time to attack this mountain!

We got our mattress and crib set! So exciting!
